Feminine pride!

Feminine Pride!

Through decades and Era's women have been constantly battling the male population for equal rights and respect. I personally hold this topic close to my heart and have studied it throughout high school. In the past females have been seen as objects that men can posses, household cleaners and mothers. Their first priority was taught through their early childhood to keep their husbands happy.

Through the women's social and political union lead by Emmeline Pankhurst in 1905; doing all that was in their power to protest for the vote including starvation and protesting. To 1963, where women gained the power and given the opportunity to control their own futures through the decision of childbirth.

Us women have come a long way in the past century. However, expressed in the lecture this week women are still horribly discriminated. Through the facts that 65% of the poor population is female and that within America alone, more then half of the families are headed by single mothers with a below average income. (Kuttainen, 2013)

Through Facebook, I dont believe their is gender equality, both genders are given the same amount of opportunities and control online. I however believe females have become more powerful and use their face books more often then males.
